According to a statement issued by the Personnel Ministry, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved Mohan’s appointment as Special Director, IB, until his superannuation on 30 June 2031.
The Special Director General (DG) level has also been assigned to five of Mohan’s classmates in their respective organisations.
Sandeep Khirwar and Rajesh Kumar have been appointed Special Deputy Generals in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Both officers are currently serving as Additional Directors General (ADGs) in the CRPF.
Puneet Rastogi and Satosh Shriramaji Khandare have been appointed Special DGs in the Border Security Force (BSF). Both are currently serving as ADGs in the BSF.
Padmakar S Ranipse, who is currently an ADG of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has also been appointed Special DG in the force.
The appointments elevate Jag Mohan and five of his 1995-batch classmates to senior Special DG-level positions across the IB, CRPF, BSF and CISF, with Mohan’s tenure in the IB set to continue until 30 June 2031.
